QUESTION: Satan needs legal ground (unrepented sin whether personal or generational) to get permission from Father God Yahwah before attacking us in any way?
The mode of operation in the realm we live in (including heaven) is within a legal system. God is the judge of the earth & yes, He heads the highest-supreme court. Particularly in the case of legal ground, Satan does not have any right to attack you because of what Jesus Christ has done on the cross (period). It is not your righteousness that saves you but Jesus Christ & your receipt that Jesus Christ has already set you free. Because of our flesh, mind, impure thoughts, etc, there is no one without sin – our righteousness are as filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6); hence, we are what we are because of Jesus Christ (John 15:5).
Anyone who thinks it is their righteousness that keeps Satan away from them has gotten it all wrong & the enemy can use that to pull them out of what has already been freely given – even the life of Jesus Christ (given for them).
Right = Authority
But remember attacks come in degrees. There are some attacks that God permits because He knows you can handle it – whether you live in sin or not. And there are some that God will say no!! Basically God will only permit what He knows you can handle, for this cause He said “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it ” (1 Corinthians 10:13)
For example, God’s testimony of Job was that he was upright, perfect, served God, etc – and yet God permitted Satan to attack him. If we go by that then Satan did not have any right to attack him but yet God permitted satan to attack him…why? because God knew that Job would overcome (from Job chapter 1). But in our time (Jesus/Grace), you can easily rebuke the devil based on the truth that you know – that Satan does not have any right over you because of Jesus Christ. Remember right = authority, which means you have the authority over satan & not the other way around.
Sin = Satan
However, if you live in sin, you give satan a right to you. This is simple. Sin = Satan, so when you live in sin, you ‘re telling God that you want to be ONE with satan so you are given to him…very simple. On the other hand, satan attacks people who do not know who they are and beats them up. For this same cause God said…”my people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). People are dying and suffering because they don’t know the truth (1), and they don’t know who they are (2)…very simple. E.g. If you knew the truth (what Christ has done for you, you won’t willfully continue in sin & if you know who you are, you won’t sit there are let the devil beat you up, you will stand up & give him a dirty slap…right?
Basically satan can attack anytime but God’s promise to you is that he will not prevail against you (Matt 16), but if you believe him over God then you leave a door for him to penetrate. And how do you leave open doors? well… fear, fornication, living in sin… are some of them. A person can comfortably live in sin when they don’t believe God’s word and choose to believe the devil & do things against God.
We are not sinners because we sin, we are sinners because of our sinful nature – from Adam. So if Christ has delivered you from that Satan does not have any right at all – but it can only work when you believe it, apply it & live it. And one proof that you actually believe is to refuse to live in sin.
Depending on the angle you take this from, this is a vast topic…
